Background:

There are dozens of alkaloids in lotus leaves. Many alkaloid compounds have been isolated from lotus leaves. According to the different structures of the mother core, lotus leaf alkaloids can be mainly divided into monobenzylisoquinolines. , dehydroaporphine and oxidized aporphine. Because the lone electron pair on the nitrogen atom in the molecule can accept protons, although most of them are alkaline, most of them are weakly alkaline and cannot be directly soluble in water. However, they can be dissolved in chloroform, ethanol, methanol, etc. Organic solvents. After alkaloids react with acid to form salts, they are soluble in water, so nuciferine can be extracted with a slightly acidic aqueous solution. When extracting with water, hydrochloric acid can be added to lower the pH value of the extract to facilitate the dissolution of alkaloids.
